Music Ministry

The music ministry is vital to Eastridge Presbyterian Church.  The music ministry includes vocal choirs, a handbell choir, organ, piano, Eastridge Brass, and Cantata Orchestra. We welcome new participants to any group.  We also offer Choral Scholar positions which are filled by periodic auditions.

See how you can experience the joy of music ministry and fellowship!

New members are always welcome!

Chancel Choir

Directed by Brian Lew and accompanied by Patty Niemann, this vocal choir is for all adults, college-age and up. They rehearse Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  in the Sanctuary. The Chancel Choir sings a wide variety of musical styles regularly during the 9:00 am worship service from September through May.

Children’s Music

Under the direction of Madeline Noonan, this children’s choir is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. They rehearse Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room downstairs.  They have a lot of fun learning about the importance of music in worship, singing a variety of styles, and making new friends.
Come experience the joy of making music and worshiping God!

Praise Band

Led by Will McGuire, the Praise Band is comprised of guitarists, a bassist, drummer, lead vocalist and background vocalists. The Praise Band leads the 11:00 a.m. worship service each Sunday. They rehearse on Tuesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Kirk Ringers

This adult handbell choir is directed by Brian Lew. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. in the Choir Room, and ring in worship one Sunday a month. The Kirk Ringers occasionally join forces with the Chancel Choir, or other choirs, and ring on holidays or special services.  The experience of each ringer varies from two to 30 years!

Choral Scholars

Eastridge Presbyterian Church Choral Scholars are an integral part of the Chancel Choir and help to lead their section in rehearsal and in performance.  Each singer is a music major or minor at a local university. We have one Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass scholar.  Each singer is required to attend Wednesday evening rehearsals and one to two Sunday morning worship services. All positions are filled by audition on an as needed basis.  The auditions consist of one prepared Sacred Piece as well as sight-reading.  If you are interested in becoming a Scholarship Singer or would like more information about this great opportunity, please contact Brian Lew – at (402)488-7844 or Contact Us
